St. George, UT
Sand Hollow Reservoir
Arguably Southern Utah’s most popular fishery, Sand Hollow is known for big largemouth bass, sunfish, and clear water. Fish rocky points and submerged brush with soft plastics or crankbaits. Boats dominate, but there’s solid shoreline action, especially in early morning or evening.
Quail Creek Reservoir
Cooler and deeper than Sand Hollow, Quail Creek holds quality rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and crappie. Trolling and deep jigging produce in the summer, while spring and fall bring strong shoreline action. The steep banks and red cliffs make it a scenic must-fish.

Fire Lake Park at Ivins Reservoir
A peaceful suburban reservoir west of St. George, this pond is stocked with rainbow trout and bluegill. Ideal for families, fly anglers, or a quiet afternoon under palm trees and red rock. Best fished with worms, spinners, or dry flies near inlets and structure.
Grandpa’s Pond (Hurricane)
A small, well-stocked community pond great for beginners and kids. Species include bluegill, catfish, and stocked trout. Shoreline fishing is easy, and the setting is clean and family-friendly—perfect for a quick cast in the cooler morning hours.
