Utah Lake (Lindon Marina Access)
Located just west of Orem, Lindon Marina provides easy access to Utah Lake’s vast shallow waters, full of channel catfish, white bass, and walleye. Shore fishing is productive near the jetty, especially in spring and early summer. It’s a favorite for family anglers and night fishing alike.
Provo River (Canyon Stretch – Mouth Access)
A few minutes east of Orem, the Provo River flows cold and clean through the canyon, with browns and rainbows hiding in riffles, seams, and undercut banks. This stretch is perfect for fly or spin anglers using small nymphs, dry flies, or in-line spinners. It’s popular but beautiful, especially in early morning light.

Cascade Park Pond
A small community pond tucked into a quiet Orem neighborhood, it’s stocked with rainbow trout in spring and fall and holds a few bluegill through summer. Great for kids and relaxed afternoons with a bobber and bait. Cast near the aerators and shaded banks.
Deer Creek Reservoir (Charleston Day Use Area)
Just northeast of Orem, Deer Creek is one of the region’s top spots for boat and shore fishing. Rainbow trout and smallmouth bass are common targets, with trolling and jigging effective near drop-offs and the dam. Early morning is best, especially when the wind is down.
