Lake Conway
At nearly 6,700 acres, this is one of the largest Game and Fish Commission lakes in the state—and one of the best for largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Shallow, stump-filled, and loaded with lily pads, it’s a haven for flippers and jig anglers. Best fished by boat, but solid shoreline access exists near dam and boat ramps.
Beaverfork Lake
Northwest of town, this 258-acre reservoir is clean, quiet, and well-stocked with largemouth bass, hybrid stripers, catfish, and bream. Boat ramps, piers, and bank access are all solid—try topwater in the mornings or crankbaits along rocky points.

Tucker Creek (Tucker Creek Trail Area)
A narrow, seasonal creek winding through Conway neighborhoods, Tucker Creek offers light-action fishing for bream and small bass. Wading is possible in places, and ultralight gear works best near eddies and pools. Great for a casual, walk-and-cast outing.
Hendrix College Pond (Turtle Creek)
Located on the Hendrix College campus, this small, shaded pond is stocked for student and public use, typically with catfish and the occasional trout. It’s a peaceful, convenient spot perfect for bait-and-bobber rigs.
