Springdale, AR
Lake Springdale
A small but productive city lake right off Highway 71, this spot is stocked with catfish and trout seasonally and also offers bass and bluegill. Fish near the dam or pier with bait, spinners, or fly gear. It’s peaceful, easy to access, and perfect for beginners or kids.
Hickory Creek (Hickory Creek Park – Beaver Lake Arm)
Just east of town, this quiet arm of Beaver Lake offers solid fishing for largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and white bass when they’re running. Kayaks and small boats do well here, and the coves are loaded with submerged brush and rock.

C.L. “Charlie” and Willie George Park Pond
A newer, well-maintained community pond regularly stocked with catfish and trout during cooler seasons. It’s a great family-friendly fishing spot with a walking path, shaded benches, and clear water. Early mornings and late evenings are best.
Clear Creek (Lake Fayetteville Spillway Area – Nearby)
Though technically just outside Springdale, this small stream is a fun ultralight spot for bluegill, green sunfish, and the occasional small bass. Wading or bank casting near riffles and pools with small jigs or flies works best. It’s an under-the-radar gem for locals.
